Achieving a healthy weight can be difficult, especially when conventional methods won’t suffice. While a proper diet and regular exercise help you achieve your ideal weight, they are not always enough to reduce excess fat.
Many adults struggle with stubborn fat deposits. And for some time now, the standard treatment for excess fat has been surgical methods such as liposuction.
But thanks to medical science, you no longer have to go under the knife to address stubborn areas with fat deposits. Instead, consider fat-freezing treatments!
How? Read on to know more.
What is Fat Freeze?
Fat freeze, or cryolipolysis, is a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure designed to reduce fat deposits or bulges that don’t respond to diet and exercise.
Cryolipolysis works by targeting localized fat using cold temperatures to break down the fat cells in the area. The controlled injury will then trigger an inflammatory response, which results in the death of the fat cells.
The body’s lymphatic system will then get rid of the dead fat cells in the treated area by flushing them away gradually. This results in the reduction of localized fat in different areas of the body.
Generally, this fat freeze treatment is more commonly known under its patent name, CoolSculpting®.
CoolSculpting™ by Tess
At BodySculpt by Tess, I offer the unique CoolSculpting Elite® fat-freezing technology to help my clients reduce stubborn pockets of fat in the flanks, abdomen, or under the chin. It can also be used to address bra fat, back fat, and banana roll (under the buttocks).
It’s important to note, however, that neither CoolSculpting® nor CoolSculpting Elite® are weight loss treatments; Rather, they are meant to complement a healthy diet and exercise.
More accurately, it’s a fat-reduction treatment that sculpts your body in certain areas and helps you get your desired results.
Proper Treatment
During the procedure, I will map out the target areas. Once identified, a protective gel pad will be placed over your skin and a paddle will be applied to the treatment area.
After that, the skin and fat in the treated area will get suctioned into the paddle, and the fat freezing will commence.
The treatment itself is non-invasive and once your skin adjusts to the cold temperature, it should be relatively comfortable.
At most, you’ll feel a slight sucking sensation and may experience tingling, pulling, tugging, and mild pinching at the treated area.
Who is the Ideal Candidate for Fat Freeze?
Fat freezing treatments like CoolSculpting® work best for people who are within 20 pounds of their ideal weight
You also need to have more than ⅔ of an inch of pinchable fat so that it can fit into the CoolSculpting® applicator.
If you have a body mass index (BMI) between 25 to 30, you may need to undergo two or three treatments to achieve your desired results.
Lastly, pregnant or breastfeeding women and people with poor circulation, neuropathy, or pacemaker must consult with their doctors prior to undergoing any fat freeze treatments.
